Welcome!
I am a higher education professional and recent doctoral graduate of the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida. My scholarly specializations are in political theory and political philosophy with a focus on contemporary theories of democracy, deliberation, diversity, and citizenship.
I am also an experienced higher education policy analyst. My dissertation, titled "Knowing Better: Improving Collective Decision-making in Higher Education Shared Governance," uses insights from democratic theory to improve the efficiency and epistemic quality of shared governance practices in higher education.
This site contains: my curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy, descriptions and syllabi for past courses I've taught, general research interests, a summary of my dissertation, relevant blog musings, and academe-related miscellany.
